Daddy Boo
Back in the day when we had you
Post natal depression was just baby blue
She's only tired, it will go away
But you know it didn't, it wanted to stay
Thank god for your Dad
With his pride and glee
He was all you had
The first month or maybe three
You were daddy's girl, his baby boo
But he taught me the best thing in life
How to love you
Mommy Boo

aww i know he was very good with you as a baby
ReplyDeleteAwe....such a great poem! Reminds me of when my son was a newborn, and I had horrible "baby blues." My hubbie would give my son his baths when he got home from work, tote him all around the house, walk the floors with him, and I would be flat-out exhaused!! Ahhhh...good times, good times! :)
ReplyDeleteOh i know and no one told us what it was, I thought i was missing the mommy gene, Thank goodness for Daddys
