Well just last week, 10 years later, I sold it at a garage sale for $30. We had never gotten around to redoing it and it no longer fit in with our house. Bummer.

  35. I pride myself on being a smart shopper and can always find a great deal. The problem is, it isn't a great deal if you are never going to use it. I have purchased a number of 'bargains' that have sat unused until I donate them to charity, which is good, too, but they would have preferred the money I am sure. I guess an example would be a coffee maker. We don't drink coffee, I thought it would be good for guests, but I never ended up serving anyone else coffee either.

  156. Without a doubt my dumbest purchase was a food dehydrator! We had grand visions of using it every day to make beef jerky and dried fruit snacks - in reality, we used it for about a week when we realized that it was just too much work for a product that, honestly, didn't taste too great. So, now it's collecting dust in the kitchen cabinet. Thanks for the giveaway!

  162. My dumbest purchase was a necklace/earrings set. The necklace had an M pendant, and it was clearance, so I bought it for my kids to give to my mother the next year. Unfortunately, I needed the box, so I put the necklace and earrings.... somewhere... and have never found them again

  172. I bought this really cute green formal dress that was the perfect color for wearing with my eye color. It was on sale at nordstroms for 90% off so a $250 for $24.99. Sounds great right? I forgot to mention it was like 10 sizes to big but my friend who was with be seemed to think I could sew it and use the fabric and make it look perfect on me. Well two years later, it still hangs in my closet. I tried to make it a maternity dress when I was pregnant with my daughter but nope, it just looked too big everywhere even though I altered the top. I think I just need to cut my losses and donate it.

  177. My dumbest purchase was a six week computer course at a technical college. The instructor didn't teach. All the course consisted of was he brought in a program and you had to try to figure out the errors on your own. For someone who never had a computer coyrse before I naver erased all the errors. The instructor never gave any assistance. All he offered was to sign up for a course next semester and an incomplete. How funny. A waste of time and money. garrettsambo@aol.com
